This creative writing workshop focuses on how to move your idea onto the next step – the story. How does your idea evolve and grow? This interactive session uses discussion, visualisations and writing exercises to make it happen.
You’ll learn how to create the theme for your fiction project, a synopsis, expand on individual threads and understand the genre. You’ll be encouraged to discuss your project* fully to highlight any issues that can be tackled in the early stages.

Through visualisations and interviews, attendees interact with characters from their novel-in-progress.
Sometimes, getting past that initial idea seems hopeless because writers cannot 'see' their characters as a real person. In this workshop, writers will learn the tools they need discover who their characters really are. Writers will 'meet' and 'connect' with their characters and discover how to talk to them any time they want. This is vital to help make your characters live within your story for you and your readers.
Getting your message across in the fewest possible words takes a keen eye and an open mind. Using 50 words when thirty suffice is your goal in creative writing. Whatever kind of writing you enjoy, this workshop applies.

An informal question and answer session where delegates can hash out issues with their work-in-progress. Delegates can use this session as a sounding board for a new project too. Please be concise and brief with your questions to allow as many as possible to be tackled.
