So much happened last month, so I'll summarise it here. Patrick Forsyth was my Featured Author, I had a story published in Pop Publishing's Rock Tales, I'm resurrecting Writer's Block radio show with Colchester's Activ8, continuing my role as Journal Editor with Society of Women Writers and Journalists, added Season 17 to The Versatile Writer on Substack, worked on 3 separate novels and I'm working with a local artist for the cover of the upcoming A Parting Gift. And that's not all... the long-awaited 'WriteFest - the festival for writers' is happening on Saturday 7 November in Colchester's Dragonfly Lounge. More details via my site loveofbooks.co.uk - oh and my website has had an overhaul to celebrate its 15th anniversary! 😊 Go check it out. Until next month, sjb 😊

Now that the festivities of 2025 are far behind us, we can focus on what’s happening in 2026.
The fact that it's the first official day back in the office for most people after Christmas and New Year means it's often a slow start. It takes a few days to get those cogs moving.
Late last week I sent out my final newsletter of the year. I don't issue one in December - who has time to read extra email this month?
Last month I talked about carrying out unbelievable research and continuing professional development, so I’ll bet you want to know what’s been happening this month?
